Mai Mai Miracle is a Japanese animated coming-of-age film about Shinko, an imaginative young girl living in rural Japan in the 1950s. After befriending a shy new girl named Kiiko, Shinko’s vivid imagination connects their everyday adventures with the history of their town from 1,000 years earlier.
